Job Description : What we are looking for:
An Accountant job is currently available at Belcan in Cincinnati, OH. This is a full time, direct position with full benefits. The Accountant will be a key member of the Finance and Accounting Team and will be responsible for various corporate accounting operations and play a role in integration of acquisitions. This role will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day accounting for a few of the Company’s businesses, including journal entries and coordination with operations and accounting support teams, while ensuring accuracy and completeness. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Perform all general accounting processes for a few of the Company’s businesses.
Back up administrator for the bank external portal and daily cash transacting for the US Belcan
operations.
Prepare and file sales and use tax returns for various states.
Perform all fixed asset accounting processes for a few of the Company’s businesses.
Assist in the implementation and enhancement of accounting and financial reporting systems to
further automate processes for efficiencies and effectiveness while maintaining internal controls.
Cooperate with external auditors during annual audit process.
Cooperate and assist FP&A team with inquires and analysis upon request.
Assist in implementation of new accounting standards, as needed.
Perform other activities and special projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA preferred;
Minimum of 3+ years of experience, public accounting experience preferred.
Experience with JDE preferred.
An excellent knowledge of US GAAP is required, combined with the ability to research and propose
company positions on complex accounting issues.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Ability to execute and follow-through to produce complete, accurate and timely deliverables.
Attention to detail and accuracy are required.
Hyperion (HFM or FCCS) experience is a plus.
