To provide recording of all business transactions in accordance with GAAP, work with large amounts of numeric data, handle multiple tasks and deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. The Accountant shall prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. The Accountant is Responsible to analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. The Accountant will report the organizations finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

What You Will Be Doing
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:

Comply with all company, local, state, and federal accounting, and financial regulations.
Compile, analyze and report financial data.
Create periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
Present data to managers, investors, and other entities.
Maintain accurate financial records.
Perform audits and resolving discrepancies.
Compute taxes.
Remain informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
Aide management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.

Secondary Functions:

Provide back-up support to other accounting department positions.
Maintain integrity and accuracy in financial transactions and reports.
Maintain understanding of accounting and financial practices and regulations
What You Need for this Position
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to accurately calculate and interpret financial data.
Ability to identify and adapt to the needs of the organization and team members.
Strong prioritization skills and ability to self-direct
Communicate using the following tools: telephone, fax machine, written logs, email, and computer.
Having a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) QuickBooks, and other accounting related software.

Other Qualifications:

Must have a valid drivers license.
Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 year accounting experience, construction and real estate preferred.
Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.
