Job Description : Accountant – H1-B Visa SponsorshipPosition SummaryThis Accounting position prepares accounting transactions for month-end and year-end close, is responsible for analyzing and reconciling accounts, reviewing and preparing journal entries, and monitoring compliance to those policies and procedures and performance of limited research to address complex inquiries. This position is also responsible for assisting with the preparation of tax documents, preparing documents for year-end audit, and preparing ad hoc analysis as required.Experienced in researching complex accounting & tax issues and preparing the necessary notes and work papers. Confident working with clients. Embraces working closely within a team and assisting other team members when needed. Possesses the communication, people skills, and drive to advance within the firm.Role and responsibilitiesPerform accounting and bookkeeping duties utilizing SagePerform Bank ReconciliationsPrepare compliance reports such as payroll, sales tax, business license, property taxPost Adjusting Journal EntriesPerform Yearend closingPrepare financial statements Review all journals for accuracy and completeness prepared by staff and other professional employees engaged in accountingAnalyze accounts and make adjusting and accrue journal entries as necessary for assisting the preparation of monthly financial statementsReporting which requires interpretation of dataJob RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related fieldExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to thrive in a team environment and work well with othersStrong understanding of GAAP and accrual accountingQuick and attentive learner eager to take upon new challengesReliable and trustworthyGeneral understanding of internal control methodsEquivalent to two years of progressively responsible professional accounting experienceJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:Hayward, CA 94545: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:GAAP: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:CPA (Preferred)Work Location: One location
