Job Description : Accountant – ContractorMissionHelp streamline the accounting function at Gordian to scale rapidly and deliver accurate financial results fasterObjectivesOwn the Accounts Receivable functionSending invoicesGenerating aging reportsOwn the Accounts Payable functionAdding new vendorsCoding invoices for processingReview contracts for expiration – prepare a schedulePrepare a summary of weekly bills to approveComplete daily bank reconciliations and generate daily/weekly cash flow reportsReview corporate card transactions, complete reconciliations, and categorize expenses correctlyAssist with month-end closing and providing information to the external bookkeeping firmAssist with tax and other regulatory filings as directedCreate, document, and continuously improve accounting processesSupport ad-hoc accounting projects and analysis as neededQualifications2+ years of accounting experienceProficient in Microsoft Excel and Google SheetFamiliar with accounting software (preferred not required): QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Gusto, BrexDetail-orientedTake initiative looking for ways to improve proceduresJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridayApplication Question(s):Describe recent accounting experience on AR, AP and month-end closing.How did you improve the accounting process in your prior jobs?Experience:Accountants: 2 years (Required)Work Location: Remote
