Join us on our exciting journey as we continue to evolve and grow.Job Summary: The Accountant will prepare financial reports to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related activities.Accountant Job Responsibilities: Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.Balance sheet reconciliation.Documents financial transactions by entering account information.Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.Substantiates financial transactions by reviewing documents.Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.Secures financial information by completing database backups.Maintains financial security by following internal controls.Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.A/P, A/R, and other accounting duties as assigned.State, county sales, and rooms tax reconciliation filingsAccountant Qualifications / Skills: Reporting SkillsAttention to DetailDeadline-OrientedReporting Research ResultsConfidentialityTime ManagementData Entry ManagementGeneral Math SkillsAbility to multi-taskExcel proficiencyEducation, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance (preferred)Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in accounting/financeBenefits: 401k, after a measurement periodPaid time offHealth, life, vision, and dental insuranceBonus opportunitiesHarrison Group is an equal opportunity employer of all qualified individuals.We are committed to creating a diverse and welcoming workplace that includes individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
