Job Description : JOB DESCRIPTIONTITLE: AccountantDEPARTMENT: Accounting (103)REPORTS TO: Manager of AccountingSUMMARY: This role will be the primary back-up to the Accounting Manager and will need to understand and be qualified in all positions within the Accounting Department.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Accounts Payable for two divisionsAccounts Receivable including credit application processingAssist with Monthly Bank Reconciliations (Multiple Bank Accounts)Assigned Monthly Journal EntriesAssigned Monthly Balance Sheet ReconciliationsBack up for Month End Closing of General LedgerAssist with Monthly Sales Tax Returns for multiple statesAssigned various Monthly Analytical Trend ReportsAnalytical Projects as assignedAssist with Microsoft Dynamics/BC troubleshootingAssist and be a resource to other department employees (especially in absence of Manager of Accounting)Assist with Royalty Reporting Monthly and QuarterlyAccomplish annual vehicle tag renewals and business licenses such as local county licenses and GA Dept of Agriculture Live Plant LicensesPayroll Processing based on payroll clerk shifting to PT then retirementSECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Disbursements & ReceiptsMonth End Closing ProcessMonthly Bank ReconciliationMonthly Journal EntriesGeneral Ledger, Income Statements, Balance Sheet ReviewIssue Monthly Finish StatementsQuarterly Cash ForecastsEDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in accounting3 years of related experience minimumREQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING: Ability to communicate at all levels and work well as part of a teamAbility to work under strict time constraints; to remain at work on occasions to meet special deadlinesGood working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, iRensc, CounterPoint, Crystal Reports, Acentis, Google Docs, QuickBooksAbility to visualize problems and develop solutionsKnowledge of all accounting functions and processesKnowledge of cash management, government reports, budgets, forecasting, capital project managementKnowledge of financial analysis, risk management, and installing & training others in core accounting software modulesKnowledge of strategic planning in accounting fieldStrong Attention to detail and good analytical skillsPHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE POSTION:Requires ability to travelRequires prolonged, sitting, data input, and some lifting (30 to 50 lbs)Must be able to use telephone, computer, and office machines for prolong period of timeMust have the stamina to work until the job is doneJob Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceDisability insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:related: 3 years (Required)Work Location: One location
