Job Description
Accountant reporting to CFO and supporting program managers as directed by CFO.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financials and budgets as directed by CFO
· Reviews financial statements to ensure that the information is reported accurately and consistently
· Support financial audits as needed
· Tax return filing support
· Performs duties such as verifying all invoices for payment and ensuring expenditures are charged to appropriate accounts
· Prepares and posts journal entries to the general ledger
· Procurement and accounts payable support reconciling any problems that remain unsolved in regard to purchasing/receiving/invoicing issues
· Invoicing and accounts receivable support
· Support for payroll and time recording system and processes including Unanet
· Extracts data from financial systems and develops and maintains various spreadsheets for monthly analysis
· Supports and drafts policies and procedure for accounting, financial reporting and internal controls as directed by CFO
· Reviews and may debug reports, processes and systems and makes suggestions for enhancements
· Support implementation of financial reporting system, Unanet
· Supports financial reporting aspects of various programs including interaction with program managers as directed by CFO
· May prepare special reports and analysis as requested by CFO
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
· Strong GAAP and Internal Control knowledge
· Full-cycle accounting experience is a plus
· Government accounting is a plus
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
· Microsoft Excel
Basic Qualifications
X-Bow is interested in motivated self-starters with excellent communication and technical writing skills, proficient in MS Office as well as having broad interest and experience in technology (Aerospace).
Desired Experience
1-4 years of experience is preferred
