Job Description : Accountant – Experience BookkeeperA progressive regional accounting company is currently searching for an Accountant with a minimum of three years of U. S. accounting firm with payroll, bookkeeping, and tax experience. This firm is very entrepreneurial and consulting-oriented, which is demonstrated in the quality of service we provide a client. We provide full-service accounting, tax, financial planning, and other related business systems for small to medium-size business clients and individuals.Rate Offered based upon experience and if you can pass my General Ledger review exam. You must have at least 2 years of Actual Bookkeeping and 1-year Income Tax Preparation for the higher rate offered. If not, you will be offered the lower rate and the growth opportunity to receive an increase as you learn these tasks.We are a small company but growing. Knowledge of QuickBooks will ensure you can learn Xero* Able to identify Adjusting Journal Entries, if applicable* Able to understand what and why journal entries would be required* Understand how to review and understand the full financial (accounting) process to review, post, and reconcile business financial transactions.* Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed* Preparation of tax returns (Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Non-Profit, Estate Trust, and S-Corp).Helpful Knowledge: * Working knowledge of industry standards (i.e. AICPA, FASB, GASB).* Working knowledge of various software programs (i.e. Drake, Xero, LastPass, QuickBooks Dropbox, ScanSnap).* Experience in supervision and training of staff.Minimum Qualifications:1. At least two years of experience in U. S. based accounting, demonstrating a progression in minor and complex tax and accounting tasks and tax knowledge required. It’s important that you are accustomed to working on multiple clients’ ledgers.2. Bachelor’s OR Associate’s degree in accounting, is good but not required.3.
