Amazon is seeking an Accountant, to be part the Amazon Music Finance team, supporting Wondery. This position will drive key workflows around billing and collections, participation reporting, procurement card utilization, month-end close processes and the integration of Wondery into Amazon accounting and finance systems. This role will regularly interface with Wondery Finance, Amazon Accounting, Content, Business Affairs and Marketing teams. The right candidate will be passionate about learning underlying processes in order to truly define business requirements and supporting business partners in scaling the business in a dynamically evolving audio-centric entertainment space.

Key job responsibilities

Issuing invoices, resolving billing adjustments in partnership with our Ad Operations and International teams
Working with customers to address collections queries
Preparing and analyzing receivables and payables aging and recommending remediation steps
Managing the Procurement Card (P-Card) account and overseeing the monthly reconciliation process
Preparing quarterly participation calculations, statements and related disbursement requests
Analyzing marketing accrual adjustments
Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and roll forwards

A day in the life
Envision speaking with various business partners on topics ranging from developing new operational mechanisms to strategizing the next segment of focus. You will also work closely with various Music finance counterparts and likely other product teams at Amazon.

About the team
The Amazon Music Finance team is collaborative by dessign; although each individual have clear ownership of an area(s), success typically involves partnering with others in the team.

Experience in media/entertainment
Experience with high end clients or their representatives, agents
Public accounting experience at a Big Four
Familiarity with NetSuite or other cloud-based ERP systems
Proficiency in Essbase
