Job Description : GENERAL PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for assisting the accounting group with routine accounting transactions and the monthly financial closing process. This will include the preparation of account reconciliations, performing account analysis and processing transactions in the Company’s accounting system following procedures establishd by the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.
Assist with the fixed asset accounting, including but not limited to asset addition, retirements and transfers.
Monthly preparation of the fixed asset roll forward analysis and reconciliation with asset management and general ledger
Distribution of asset reports to management and assisting with the annual asset physical inventory process
Monthly preparation of the fixed asset roll forward analysis and reconciliation with asset management and general ledger
Assist in the application of cash including the non AR deposits
Assist in the preparation of the monthly reconciliations of accounts
Assist with the monthly closing process including the calculation of accruals and the input of journal entries.
May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED with at least three years direct work experience desired. Associates Degree in accounting a plus.

Ability to multi-task and problem solve independently

Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) extremely beneficial
Strong knowledge of MicroSoft Office Suite
