Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an Accounting Manager 3 for our Bloomington, MN location.
The Financial Shared Services SDPM Senior Manager position is part of the Financial Shared Services (FSS) Systems and Design and Project Management (SDPM) team. This position is responsible for managing financial systems analysts and project management staff who support users, trouble-shoot system issues, implement process improvements or system enhancements to expand FSS capabilities, drive standards and best practices, leverage system investment, including patching and upgrade acceptance testing, support customer needs, and manage and deploy projects. This position also oversees the FSS project portfolio & roadmap, manages continuous improvement activities, and serves as liaison to payroll and heritage NGIS labor administrators.
Responsibilities:
Directs financial systems analyst and project management staff activities, including, but not limited to:
Collaborates with teams to analyze, design, and implement business processes, leveraging Costpoint financial accounting system functionalities
Administers automated batch jobs, auto server related processes, system configuration, control settings, and FSS system security
Administers adjunct systems, such as SharePoint sites and Blackline
Analyzes and troubleshoots accounting financial functional issues requested in Costpoint to include ancillary and interface systems
Leads and supports various projects such as financial reorganization, system upgrades, and new business unit implementations, continuous process and system improvements
Project management activities include, but are not limited to
Creates and manages the FSS project portfolio & roadmap that serves FSS teams, business units, and other functions
Leads monthly meetings with Information Technology (IT) partners to collaborate on activities in progress and in FSS and IT portfolios
Promotes and monitors the FSS Project Management SharePoint site to drive both completion and continuous efficiency
Champions and manages continuous improvement within FSS
Implements new system functionality, enhancements, and process improvements that are owned or managed by FSS
Collaborates and develop solutions within FSS and with its business partners
Leads project teams to ensure deliverables are met (scope, requirements, development, testing, training, deployment, schedule, budget)
Manages the identification and resolution of project issues, meeting project commitments
Creates/manages project documentation including project plans, benefits analysis, schedules, resource matrices, requirements, cost management, risk analysis, test plans, and other applicable information
Communicates regularly with project sponsors, team members, management, and other stakeholders through project status updates, project reviews, and post project follow-ups
Serves as a member of Costpoint Change Board (CCB) approving changes that affect Costpoint and ancillary tools
Manages and communicates FSS biweekly newsletter to stakeholder community
Supports internal and external audit requests
Owns certain SOX controls managed by SDPM
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in accounting or finance and project management
3 years of management experience
Extensive knowledge of project management concepts and activities
Experience in systems implementations and upgrades
General understanding of business processes
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Costpoint ERP
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Salary Range: 134800 – 202200

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
