Real estate purchasing, land development, new construction and major remodels are part of Tower’s ongoing commitment to future growth.Job Description: Responsible for overseeing accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing), and database managementRandomly audits work flow to assure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorizedMonthly journal entriesPrepares financial statementsBank reconciliationsAssures internal control complianceMay train staff on internal control procedures; assists Controller as neededReviews monthly closing processWorks on special projects, if requested; assist with yearly audit preparation.Assist in the monthly financial close process; preparation of financial reports and related business analysis for management as well as reporting for government agency regulatory filing;Complete projects assigned by the Corporate Controller.Position Skills: Strong problem solving, communication, team building, lean model, and leadership skills are a must; ability to analyze, research, and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Understanding of: accounting concepts and internal controls, able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment necessary. Advanced level Excel skills, general ledger reconciliation, knowledge of financial controls and methods used in a retail chain store environment, Sage 100 a plus.- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in an Accounting role- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business-related field from a U.S. accredited university is required- CPA current License required*We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.**Please include your resume with your response to this posting.Valued behaviors: Initiative, responsible, pride in work, multi-tasker, team-player.Required and Preferred Experience: five (5) to seven (7) years accounting experience; public accounting and minimum two years private industry.
