Job Description : We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled accountant to become a key member of our management team. Big Horn Tire is privately held and has been a stable and well respected company for over 50 years. We are continuing to grow and value and invest in the people who work with us.Job Duties & Responsibilities: Lead the accounting department and oversee staff.Assist in identifying and implementing process improvement.Balance and reporting of GL accounts for multiple locations and departments.Prepare analysis of accounts month and year end balancing/reconciliation.Research and resolve account discrepancies and issuesReview A/P, A/R, P/R as they relate to GL, month end, and audits.Post to journals, prepare ledgers and other records.Fixed asset management.Provide supporting documentation for audits.Produce monthly financial reports to various departments and locations.Assist with budgeting and educating our management in financial sustainability.Strictly maintains employee confidence and protect payroll confidentiality.Determine and calculate all payroll liabilities.Assist payroll staff in resolving discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Desired Qualifications3 years minimum experience in general accounting.Proven ability to manage and mentor staff.Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.Proven experience in balancing tactical and strategic priorities.Skilled in general bookkeeping and data entry/management.Proficient in Excel, including formulas/accounting functionsHighly competent in using Microsoft Office Suite.Team oriented and a strong communicator.Self-managed and enjoys contributing to the overall success of the organization.Ability to navigate new accounting software.Job Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Accounting: 3 years (Required)management: 2 years (Required)Work Location: One location
