Job Description : Job descriptionAccounting ManagerThe Business is a privately held Companies that is in need of strengthening its accounting department. They a are mid-sized, multi-location retail and distribution set of companies in the outdoor power equipment industry; looking for a career minded accountant searching for a great environment and an opportunity to grow.Job OverviewThe Accounting Manager is the right-hand person for the Director of Accounting and Administration. The successful candidate will be an experienced accounting professional with multiple years of accounting department management success, a great grasp and knowledge of excel, experience with larger accounting systems, and a desire to grow.The Accounting Manager is responsible to implement all company accounting activities according to clearly defined Company policies and procedures and protect Company assets. You will supervise accounting department staff. In addition, you may have select support responsibilities to Department Managers as it relates to reporting and office administration.Job Qualifications· Personal compatibility with Company corporate culture and values· Proficiency equivalent to Microsoft Specialist Certification in Word and Expert Certification in Excel· Extremely proficient in higher level ERP systems· Familiar with database management· Excellent planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills· Meticulous and detail oriented· Good interpersonal skills, particularly in working with a team· Consistently able to meet deadlines· Highest level of integrity and trust to handle confidential materials· Ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to new and changing situations· Attentive to helping control costsEducation/Experience· Minimum Bachelors degree in Accounting· Minimum 3 years experience in an accounting management function· Minimum 5 years full charge accounting experienceDuties and Responsibilities· Full charge accounting functions including bank and credit card reconciliations, multi-location financial statements, general ledger management and monthly closing entries· Generating multiple financial reports and key performance indicators not generated through the ERP system· Produce Key Performance Indicators using the ERP and dashboard programs· Planning and managing the accounting and finance operations of the Company to assure accurate and timely compliance with accounting industry, government and lenders standards, regulations and covenants· Plan and manage cash flow and operating costs of the organizations· Assist with outside relationships with Accounting Firm, Banks, Information Systems, Legal and other relevant vendors/suppliers· Supply timely and accurate information as needed to outside relationships as needed· Manage corporate equipment assets and analyze changes thereto· Manage related real estate LLC financial record keeping· Support location managers with cash, credit card transactions and financial reporting· Administrating payroll· Managing bank accounts, credit cards and customer financing through outside finical vendors· Managing all accounts payables and receivables· Safeguarding Company assets· Review and Analysis of operating costs· Preparation and assistance with annual tax return planning and preparation· Generating multiple financial reports as needed by leadership to make good decisions· Provide counsel on Company decisions· Analyzing and helping management improve operations and reduce costs· Other responsibilities as assigned by the President from time to timeOccasional Work Performed· Participating in outside CPA reviews of financial records· Participating in training courses· Specific projects as required by Director of Accounting and Administration and the Company Presidents.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:we follow federal and state rules and regulations.Application Question(s):Do you have expert level excel skills?Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Accounting Manager: 3 years (Preferred)Full charge bookkeeping: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
