Job Description : **MUST BE WILLING TO PHYSICALLY WORK NEAR SUNRISE, FLORIDA, 33323**Position Summary: The Community Care Plan Accounting Manager will play an important role in the accounting operations, financial reporting, accounting systems, budgets, and financial controls. The individual will play a key role in the monthly close process to issue timely (monthly, quarterly, annual) and complete financial statements in accordance with GAAP, monitoring and assessing on-going internal process to push for efficiency, automation and accuracy of financial management and financial systems.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting5+ years of health plan payor experience to coordinate all accounting and audit activities, including accounts payable and receivables, general ledger, monthly close process, and related financial statementsThorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Knowledge of Statutory (NAIC) accounting and reportingCPA required.Experience in a fast-paced environment highly desiredEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees all accounts, general ledger, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate US GAAP and STAT standards and regulatory requirementsConducts analytical review and preparation of balance sheet, income statement and cash statement. Ensures the timely close of the books and shares required financial reports accurately each periodEnhances the current accounting operations to streamline the billing, AP, reconciliation process, including collaboration with other departments to ensure accuracy of reportingManages all accounting functions, including AR, AP, cash flow, payroll, and financial statement reporting.Manages annual audit and tax compliance workstreams, including state/local business taxes and license renewalsTracks month end, quarter end, and year end tasks, and ensures accurate and timely completionOwns the GL and ensures all business transactions are correctly recorded, including detailed analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts, while ensuring compliance with local accounting requirements and internal policiesPerforms cash projections to effectively manage cash balancesMaintains internal controls, implements, and develops policies, statutory filings and safeguards for the business.Manages team members to maximize and reach optimal individual/organizational goals.Supports budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the businessDevelops and improves systems and procedures and initiate corrective actionsEstablishes and enforces proper accounting methods, policies, and principlesThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties performed by the employee occupying this position. Prior experience implementing an ERP system(s)Willingness to roll up their sleeves and get in the details. Must have the ability to research previous transactions, methods, and financial reports to ensure consistency with practicesExcellent communication skills, strong customer service, and people skillsExhibit strong drive for results and success; convey a sense of urgency to achieve outcomes and exceed expectations; persist despite obstacles, setbacks and competing influencesWORK SCHEDULE: As a continued effort to provide a safe and productive work environment, Community Care Plan is currently following a hybrid work schedule.
