You will be managing a small but growing team and we are looking for the person that wants to grow with us. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the accounting personnel and overseeing the accounting operational functions; including leases accounting, payables and receivables.Job Duties· Monitors team productivity and distribution of work flow· Initiates and monitors monthly management reports, financial statements, and account reconciliations· Communicates with personnel to resolve accounting issues and assists in understanding and eliminating accounting discrepancies· Manages employees including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluation, and coaching· Manages accounting for salary, wages, and related benefits and temporary labor workforce· Provides audit support, fixed assets/leases· Other duties as required and assignedRequirements· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a 4 year college or university· Minimum 5 years Accounting experience· CPA preferred· PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formEnvironmentWhile performing this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, finger or feel, and talk and hear. The employee is required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
