Job Description : The company’s Accounting team prepares timely and accurate financial reporting to drive internal decision-making and provide critical external and internal stakeholders with information on business performance. This person will own the month-end close and reporting process for cash operations, collections, and accounts payable. This person will also be integral in working with our Finance, Human resources, Operations, and other cross-functional business partners to ensure data integrity. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and will lead critical initiatives for our business. This role will manage three direct reports with planned additional growth on the team.In this role, you will:Short term immediate focus:Own parts of the month-end close, which would include, among others, reviewing all cash, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and account reconciliationsDevelop, maintain, and manage close scheduleManage the Cash Operations and the Accounts Receivable teamsWork with the Controller to identify causes of cash collections and payment discrepanciesOversee vendor approval and accounts payable processAssist the Controller with a new accounting system implementation and team developmentLong term goals: Develop and improve upon accounting schedules and accelerate monthly closing timePerform analysis of revenue and collections data and develop measurable and trackable collections and accounting KPIsWork with the Operations team to streamline information flow with Finance for forecasting modelsWork cross-functionally to estimate all accrued expenses and work with collections to establish monthly accounts receivable allowanceReview reconciliations of data in our proprietary software and our accounting ERP system and work with the accounting teams to identify root causes and implements corrections neededAct as the accounting lead on all key strategic initiatives impacting revenue and cash management.Identify control gaps and build out new controls and processes as needed to strengthen our control environment and improve accounting and reporting accuracyOther ad hoc analysis and reporting, as neededMinimum Qualifications: 5 to 7 years relevant experienceBachelor’s degree in accounting requiredExperience with QuickBooks OnlineProficient in Microsoft Excel, Google WorkspaceExperience evaluating and implementing internal controls requiredExperience implementing accounting schedules and accounting processesMust possess the ability to adapt to a changing business and regulatory environmentJob Type: Full-timePay: From $80,000.00 per yearEducation:Associate (Required)Experience:Accounting: 3 years (Preferred)Analysis Skills: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
