Job Description : What Is This Position About? This is a position in a dynamically growing, fast paced environment where you will be working hand in hand with the Director of Finance, in close function with the C Suite, performing all accounting functions and helping manage an offshore accounting team. We are looking for someone to perform accounting functions in a review and supervisory capacity, as well as provide support for day-to-day financial analysis. This position also provides the option to work in a hybrid remote/in-office schedule with the opportunity to work remote up to 2 days per week after 60 days of employment. Our corporate office is centrally located in Mesa, AZ, just off the US60 at Alma School Road and we’re ready to add talented and energetic people!What Are the Benefits of This Job?Great work environment2 weeks paid vacation and 1 week of sick time11 paid holidaysFull Health/Dental/Vision Benefits401(k)Key Duties & Responsibilities: Active role in month-end close process: review monthly accruals, journal entries, fixed asset management and other items.Provide ongoing financial analysis of current operations in order to make strategic, budget and projection recommendations to CFO/C Suite.Manage and implement policies and procedures related to Program Term Sheets (PTS) management to ensure revenue and expenses are accounted for per GAAP.Support multiple aspects of Partner & accounting management, included but not limited to: preparation of invoicing, AR management, cashflow implications, collection, policies and procedures to Finance team/C Suite as needed.Collaborate with Controller to work closely with and direct off-site accounting team to assist in preparation of monthly financials.Oversee accounts payable and purchase order processes. Approval of invoices.Assist in preparation & review of quarterly forecasts, monthly actual vs. budget variance analysis and customer P&L statements and analysis.Maintain contract & PTS integrity. Ensure PTS guidelines are adhered to by both Synergis & Partner, review new contracts & PTS agreements. Create new policies & procedures as needed, manage new PTS agreements within ASC 606 revenue recognition parameters.Work with external audit team to ensure yearly financial audit is completed accurately & timely.Support the annual operation and capital budgeting process and long-range strategic plan.Capital structure and corporate finance analysis on an ad-hoc basis.Communicate effectively with campus leadership.Ensure pro-active communication and cohesive working relationships with all other departments.Answer staff questions and resolve escalated issues.Serves as a liaison between Synergis & Partner Management team.Direct internal controls for cash management to support appropriate cash flow levels.Assist in the coordination of the institution’s response to any internal/external audits related to finance operations; prepares documentation requirements to meet compliance audit standards.Utilize IT systems to facilitate & expand processes regarding operations & accounting records.Attend all applicable training workshops to remain current on company policies.Performs other duties as assigned.Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; three to five years of experience within an education environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
