Job Description : An investment company in New York City is actively seeking a driven and analytical professional to join their staff as their new Accounting Manager. In this role, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for working on various aspects of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, and assist with all aspects of investment company reporting.
Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will:
Ensure compliance with related partnership agreements
Use GAAP knowledge / research to assist Controller’s Department with pronouncements affecting the company
Assist with investment database processing and report generation
Assist with maintaining various modules of Oracle Cloud (GL, AP, Fixed Assets) and processing requirements for these Oracle applications
Assist with processing of expenses, cash transfers, investment fundings and distributions.
Assist with various financial analysis for inclusion in monthly Board of Directors presentations
Assist tax department by providing various financial information necessary for tax compliance
Assist with the year-end consolidation of various subsidiaries and partnerships in preparing year-end financial statements
Assist in special projects upon request
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
4+ years of public accounting experience
Investment accounting experience
Proficiency with computer platforms and applications
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
