Job Description : Cutting edge technology advanced stage start-up located near Marina Del Rey is looking for an Accounting Manager. In this position, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for the day to day general accounting functions. Duties for the Accounting Manager include conducting general ledger management, accruals, account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and month / quarter / year-end closes. The Accounting Manager will also prepare financials and write footnotes for various audits, enhance accounting policies and procedures in anticipate of an IPO, handle cash flow management and reporting, additional ad hoc financial reporting functions, accounting pronouncement research, as well as assist with budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet analysis.
Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Experience with a publicly traded company or an IPO is a big plus.
Public accounting experience is preferred.
CPA or Master’s in Accounting is ideal.
Must have strong GAAP knowledge.
Ability to learn new concepts quickly is a MUST.
Ability to work autonomously and efficiently is essential.
Excellent analytical and communication skills are also required.
