We are building a platform that combines payments, credit and loyalty to improve the experience for both sellers and customers.About the RoleWe are looking for an Android Developer to help us build and optimise our native mobile app experience on Android (required) and iOS (preferred).You’ll work as part of a close knit feature team consisting of product managers, designers, data scientists as well as marketing and customer success experts. We foster a collaborative and fast paced environment and are looking for someone who is committed, loves a challenge and seeks out problems to solve.We need a mobile app with the following main characteristicsIndividual User profiles capabilities and access to their own dashboardsAPI integrations to add payments capabilities from service providers like Plaid, Square and StripeConnectivity between database servers to retrieve information, lookup payees and record paymentsSend alerts based on location, payment history and Affiliate/Referral ProgramQR code capabilitiesResponsibilitiesDrive the architecture, development, and release of our React Native mobile applications and SDKs for both iOS and Android users and developersHelp build and ship Godot’s Android (required) and iOS (preferred) appQualificationsHave 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience at a tech company or startup, or demonstrate a similar skill level.3+ years developing React Native apps3+ years of professional experience with JavaScript including modern features andbest practicesBe experienced in Kotlin and have a strong track record of building best in class Android apps.Experience working in an Agile + Scrum environmentExperience implementing user stories and writing unit testsAbility to create precise interfaces from wireframes or visual mockups using maintainable and reusable codeAbility to write software that consumes RESTful web servicesExpert proficiency with JSON, HTML and CSSExperience implementing native modules and native viewsExperience delivering high-performing React Native apps and SDKsUnderstanding of using Containers and Docker development environmentsThorough understanding of git (we use GitLab)Ability to keep up with evolving web standards (HTML5, CSS3, ES9+) and bestpracticesJob Types: Part-time, Regular / PermanentPart-time hours: 30 per weekSchedule:Day shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Android Development: 3 years (Preferred)total work: 3 years (Preferred)
