Job Description : Role: Application Software Technical Support Engineer
Location: Pune, India

Position Summary:
This position will work closely with the global Version Control Support team. You will be responsible for providing dependable and timely assistance to our customers. The ideal candidate is expected to be self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented and able to provide a high level of customer satisfaction through the delivery of world-class technical support services.
Responsibilities:
Interact with end users on technical problems through emails, phone and Zoom calls
Review scope of customer issue and determine best course for resolution
Develop and maintain technical expertise in assigned areas of product functionality and utilize it effectively to help customers
Resolve customer issues, including database and performance issues, expeditiously
Research, document, and escalate cases according to procedure
Create and set up test environments to troubleshoot and replicate reported issues
Escalate cases to Triage and Development teams for deeper analysis, adequately communicating required work
Provide Customer feedback internally to influence process and product improvements
Create technical documents on common issues and solutions to build knowledge base
Maintain a positive attitude – Support engineers are required to be respectful, fair, gracious and knowledgeable
Collaborate with Perforce colleagues in the global team
Requirements:
3+ years of experience providing support directly to enterprise customers
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
Experience of Linux and basic networking required
Experience with Perforce, Git, SVN or other version control software is highly desirable
Outstanding customer service, analytics and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with minimal direction, pick up new concepts and technologies quickly
Ability to read, write, and speak uent English with good attention to detail is a must
Able to be organized, dedicated, work well under pressure and prioritize accordingly
The role is based in the Perforce office in central Pune (office opening in mid 2022)
Working hours are to be defined based on business requirements, no travel required
