Job Description : A growing roofing contractor headquartered here in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join the team. The Assistant Controller will work with the Controller and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to handle administrative, organizational and analytical assistance and ultimately provide solutions that help achieve the organization’s strategic goals.Applicants with more than two years of professional accounting experience, a background in Accounts Receivable (AR), experience with SAGE software and an accounting/finance-related degree will receive preference.This is a direct hire, full-time, on-site opportunity offering competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.RESPONSIBILITIESCompile and aggregate data from multiple sources to provideTranslate data into actionable and consumable insights using available visualization tools, while maintaining a broader, strategic perspective on the organizationCreate financial statements and assist with budgetAssist in billing and tax documentation and preparationAccounts Receivable and payroll processingUtilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to create financial models, automate reporting and analyze large/complex financial/operational data setsWork on evaluation team for new acquisition opportunities in the diligence phase, as well as then assist in the integration of successful acquisitions.Own access and distribution of reporting, maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive client dataIdentify solutions to discrepancies in financial recordsCollaborate with IT and financial team to define internal controls and policiesReview key business process designs to improve expediency, efficiency, and quality while ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practicesThink creatively to identify new data sources (both internal and external) and use cases for collection, analysis, and reportingJob Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Phoenix, AZ 85021: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):Do you have experience working with SAGE software?Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Accounting: 2 years (Required)Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Required)Work Location: One location
