Job Description : 1st Lake Properties, Inc., a Favrot & Shane company, has an opening in our financial division for an Assistant Controller.About us:We are a complete real estate development company with our own architectural, construction, and property management companies, and we utilize a comprehensive approach towards multifamily development which ensures complete control over all phases of design, development, operation, management, and maintenance.Duties and QualificationsWhat you will do:The Assistant Controller will help in overseeing the daily activities of the Financial Department which consists of Account Receivable, Accounts Payable, Construction, Property Management, and Payroll.Communicate with and support all Property Management bookkeepers to help resolve any problems or issues.Balance Rent Rolls to cash collected, and research and resolve any problems.Maintain General Ledger and its integrity through proper posting of entries.Account for all income.Reconcile GL due to accounts, and research and resolve any problems.Bill and collect final reimbursements to third party accounts.Produce and distribute GL and financial statement reports.Prepare various monthly reports on income and expenses for the Controller.Reconcile and balance all bank rec’s.Various Month-End and Year-End responsibilities.Maintain all depreciation schedules.Support the maintenance of the accounting system structure and network stability.Help in training and implementation of new and existing accounting software programs.Requirements to be a successful Assistant Controller: Minimum of 5 years of experienceBS in AccountingCPA designation preferredIn exchange for your excellent skills and abilities, you will receive: Salary, benefits and paid time off to include:generous vacation time, sick time, and up to 2 paid days off per year for working safelyHealth, dental, and vision plans; company paid basic life insurance and long term disability insurance; spouse and dependent life insurance; short-term disability insurance401k with a generous company matchJob Type: Full-time
