Job Description : Assistant Controller We are currently interviewing for an Assistant Controller to join our finance team. As Legacy Restoration continues to grow, we need someone with solid GAAP experience to formalize our financial controls. Additionally, our ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of profitability analysis that will enable them to analyze, interpret and implement complex sales commission plans and rate schedules. This position will also be responsible for preparing and inputting journal entries to the general ledger, review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and create financial reports to be included in the monthly Controller’s Report. Assistance with internal/external audits and special projects may be required as directed by the Controller.The successful candidate will possess:Comprehensive and thorough accounting abilities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger, sales and use taxStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsPerform and supervise daily tasks as it relates to the industry; job costing, WIP reporting, inventory approval & analysis, fixed asset & monthly depreciationKnowledge and confidence in reviewing financial statementsPerform and supervise the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, record entries, credit card and expense allocations, intercompany transactions, and various AP and AR duties Responsible for financial preparation and analysis and assist with audit and year-end projects as neededOversee daily banking and positive pay along with cash reporting for managementDesignated as the lead for bringing acquisition due diligence and folding the new entity in our financial reportingStrong attention to detail, accuracy and organization skillsStrong verbal/written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationFlexibility with changing duties and priorities based on the development of formalized company proceduresEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: College degree in Accounting or related field5+ years of experience working in a medium size companySoftware implementation experienceConstruction Accounting experience required – WIP reportingProficiency with MS Office applications (Advanced Excel, Powerpoint, Word)Solid Quickbooks experienceFlexibility to arrange schedule if needed to meet month end deadlinesLEGACY BENEFITS: BonusHealth Insurance, Vision, Dental, HAS10 days PTO first year6 paid holidays annuallyParental Leave401K planOngoing training and personal development opportunitiesTeam building and volunteering activities throughout the yearAdvancement opportunities for dedicated candidates interested in growing with the companyJob Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 – $130,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payWork Location: One location
