Job Description : Outstanding opportunity to join a family-owned, custom stamped components manufacturer in Montpelier, OH as an Assistant Controller! This long-standing, privately held organization is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the accounting and finance team alongside the Controller. This full time, direct hire role comes with long term growth potential, strong compensation and benefits, and bonus eligibility!
Position Summary:
The Assistant Controller will be responsible for payroll and 401k administration, along with account reconciliation, month-end close and financial statement preparation. Will participate in annual budget prep and prepare tax returns. Responsible to supervise one Accounts Receivable Specialist, and be point-of-contact for audit purposes. The Assistant Controller will also maintain a standard costing system, including supervising physical inventory count and fixed assets system.
Required Qualifications:
BS in Accounting, Finance, or Related Discipline
3-5+ years experience supporting a manufacturing operation as an Accountant or similar function
3+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant in financial statement analysis and preparation
Previous experience with standard costing
Strong communication skills-must be effective at communicating at all levels internally and with customers and vendors
