Introduction:
Own and be the accountable executive for the Prime middle office processes.Be responsible and accountable for business delivery as per the standards agreed with business.Strong process and product knowledge to manage business delivery and control environmentDrive strategic delivery including various change initiatives and projects.Ensure relevant cross-training and knowledge sharing to build in-depth knowledge across the functionsCollaborate efficiently with wider teams to achieve organisational objectives.Build and manage stakeholder relationships with business.Perform appraisals for colleagues, providing guidance and career support
What will you be doing?
The candidate is required to provide expert supervision with ownership and accountability.The candidate is required to have an excellent understanding of the Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives and Synthetics from a regional perspective and realise how issues and change impact the global framework.The role will also require regular close contact with various Operations teams, business managers, Front office, as well as our client base.The candidate will be required to provide supervision to processes across time zones.The role will require an individual who can cope with the demanding environment of an investment bank, moving between different areas of the trade flow, while providing solutions and assistance across the teams.The role is suitable for candidates with excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to set out and explain complex issues and problems, while using their experience and knowledge to influence key stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
Substantial financial services experience.Relevant experience in Investment Banking Operations, experience in Middle Office would be a significant advantage.Strong understanding and heavy emphasis on properly controlled risk and operating environmentKey technical expertise in the area of Middle Office and sound knowledge of operational front to back procedures that supports an IB BusinessPassionate about continuous improvements, leading by example and using their network of contacts to get to the end goalProven ability to build, maintain and enhance relationship at all levels including interacting effectively, leading the discussions where appropriate with other key areas within the bank e.g. IT, MO, FO, Ops Control.Ability to influence others for providing the support and work under pressure independently, knowing when to delegateDetailed and meticulous, high level of accuracy with low tolerance for errorExcellent communication skills, both written and verbally.Shares informed decisions to all areas of the investment bank, without fear of conflictAn achiever and ambitious, with a strong desire to succeed, innovative, hard working, enthusiastic and motivated
Skills that will help you in the role:
Degree level or appropriate industry qualifications with significant and relevant experience within a similar / comparable banking environmentAt least 3 years of people management expertise.
