Job Description : SummaryThe Audit Specialist shall be responsible for performing assigned audits by executing internal audit procedures to assess and evaluate operating effectiveness and efficiency of various departments and business functions. The audit specialist will apply audit experience to resolve more advanced, complex audit elements, including issues escalated by audit specialist.Essential FunctionsConducting quality performance analysis of business processesExecute and review exception reports and report outliers to process owner(s)Review and analyze automated reports for trends and recommend corrective actionsPerform audits to test compliance against Legal, contractual, and internal standardsWorking closely with various SMEs to obtain preliminary information for auditDocument significant trends or recommend corrective actions in audit reports if applicableEffectively and independently complete scheduled audits and follow-up with various departments, if necessaryLearn and utilize various in-house system software including, but not limited to, Servicing Director, and Latitude to verify accuracy of data stored in the systemsPreparing analytical reports for submittal to departmental managementContribute to special projects as neededQualifications and SkillsHigh School Diploma Required, Bachelor’s degree preferredOne (1) year of auditing and/or compliance experience requiredAbility to run queries on Microsoft SQL serverStrong research, technical and analytical skillsSelf-directed, able to manage multiple assignments with varying prioritiesAbility to work independently on Ad-hoc projectsDetail oriented and strong time management skillsStrong communication skills – oral and writtenIntermediate expertise with Microsoft ApplicationsCOVID-19 Precautions: All employees are required to wear a mask if they are unable to social distance onsite and common surfaces are sanitized regularly.
