Job Description : Finance & Accounting – Virginia Beach, VAThe Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking an experienced Auditor to join its internal auditing team. This professional will assist in planning and performing a wide range of integrated operational, financial and systems reviews, domestically and internationally. CBN Corporate Auditors evaluate whether risks to the company are identified and minimized, acceptable internal policies and procedures are followed, resources are used efficiently and economically, and the organization’s objectives are effectively achieved.The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: · 1-3 years of progressive audit experience in a public firm or private industry internal audit department· Successful completion of an auditing internship with regional or national firm a plus· Prior auditing experience applying risk and control concepts to perform audit steps, manage time, evaluate evidence, and report results· Effective ability to cover corporate processes and operational units with a focus on financial, information technology and operational processes· Strong business acumen with some knowledge of financial systems· Excellent research and analytical skills with ability to identify and communicate value-added observations· Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to prepare substantive working papers· Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and consistent follow-through· Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as an effective team member· Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with all levels of staff and outside public· Ability to travel as needed to international affiliates· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or work-related experience desirable· Non-profit experience desirable· CPA or CIA candidate desirableCBN is a global nonprofit ministry demonstrating the love of God and sharing the Gospel through traditional and digital media, and humanitarian aid.
