We’re looking for an experienced bookkeeper/accounting professional who thrives in an environment filled with exciting challenges and where there is always something new to learn.Responsibilities· Creating/maintaining GL accounts· Creating journal entries and posting transactions· Reconciliation of accounts and general ledger maintenance· Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account info and trends.· Reporting/tracking tariffs for incoming overseas shipments· Reconciling incoming tariff billings against tariff tracking· End of month/quarter/year processing and reporting· Assisting with annual budgeting and ongoing reporting of budget vs. actual financial data· Researching and resolving reconciliation variances in financial statements· Setting up ACH batches, check batches, and global payment batches each week· Assisting with audits· Embraces special projects as neededQualifications and Skills· 4+ years of full-time professional bookkeeping or accounting experience· Solid bookkeeping/accounting skills· Software proficient; MS Office, accounting and financial reporting software· Able to explore and implement new accounting/financial software solutions· Bachelors’ degree in accounting is a plus but is not required· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills· Collaborative, detailed and adaptableDetails· Full-time salaried position· 401K with generous matching contribution· Excellent health, dental, and eye care benefits· Comfortable, friendly work environment· Southwest suburban BolingbrookJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayApplication Question(s):What is your expected pay range?Experience:Bookkeeping: 4 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
