Job Description : CASINO CONTROLLERDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees the supervision as Staff Accountant, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger, revenue audit, inventory, information system, and purchasing and file retention.Prepares monthly financial statements.Prepares and coordinates long-term operational and capital budgets for GM approval.Develops financial, budgetary, and internal control policies and procedures.Develop and implement financial strategic planning.Manage all aspects of financial planning, cash projections and special financial analysis.Manage and comply with local, state, and Federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Enforce compliance with internal and external financial goals.Perform cost benefit analysis of major capital purchase outlays and of transitioning externally procured high dollar value items to an in-house service/product process.Monitor and issue compliance with Title 31, SARC and CTRC.Audit internal operations to insure proper checks and balances for all departments.Casino’s accounting practices, including maintenance of fiscal records, preparation of financial reports and projections.Supervise the Finance Department.Ability to effectively manage employees.Hire, train and evaluate accounting staff.Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in the primary language used in the workplace.Should have knowledge of insurance risk management, pension funds and investments.Knowledge of analytical processes and detail oriented.Perform related functions as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: Must be age 21 or older, pass a pre-employment drug test and qualify for a gaming license.Cannot be convicted of a felony.Four-year college degree in Accounting.Must be proficient in excel, experience with SAGE/ERP/100 preferred.Experience in Casino Accounting management preferred.Five years’ experience in accounting and finance.Experience as a Casino Controller or CFO preferred.Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.Experience with creating financial statements.Experience with GL functions and the month-end/year close process.Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.Thorough knowledge of Title 31, SARC, and CRTC.Visual acuity, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, position requires sitting for long periods of time.Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityExperience:Casino Controller: 1 year (Required)Work Location: Multiple Locations
