About Our Client
Our client is an Indian major that is growing from strength to strength in the FMCG/D2C space and with innovative strategies around sales and marketing, they have been one of the biggest names in the Indian market. They are looking for a Category Manager who would oversee the marketplace business for them and ensure growth and visibility in the Indian market.

Job Description
The incumbent would report into the SVP (Online Sales) and be responsible to:

✓ Work with client category teams (Amazon, FK etc) on how to develop and grow the category

✓ Analyse marketing spend within each channel and make recommendations on improving ROI

✓ Develop annual and 3-year business plan for the category, including category P&L with inputs from sales, product management and marketing

✓ Analyse category growth and market share trends by sub-segment

✓ Analyse our category performance within each channel and make recommendations on how to improve our share in each channel

✓ Analyse pricing trends, ASP of our products in the portfolio and recommend changes to pricing

✓ Keep up to date with the latest developments (new technology, new features) in the category

✓ Conduct regular and detailed analysis of competitive offerings and our pricing, positioning versus competitors to identify any gaps in our portfolio and recommend corrective actions

✓ Analyse data on customer retention, cross-selling, upgrades, repeat buying etc and make recommendations on increasing lifetime value

✓ Analyse the consumer experience by channel and recommend ways in which we can remove any purchasing barriers and improve the experience

✓ Analyse ratings and reviews and provide inputs to marketing and product management teams

✓ Work with customer service and ORM team to improve customer satisfaction and ensure that all issues are being closed in a timely manner

✓ Provide inputs to sales and marketing team on key promotions and campaigns on channel.

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate should:

Be a Management Graduate with 6+ Years of relevant experience from the sales and marketing domain in D2C/Internet set-ups
Have and analytical mindset with a proven track record in delivering results across building strategies for online, offline, e-commerce and technology
