Job Description : Monitors, performs and analyzes activity on numerous County bank accounts, recommends and monitors investments and prepares portfolio reports, prepares/approves journal entries into financial system, assists with annual audit, responsible for collection and disbursement of property tax dollars, and prepares and maintains financial reports. Supervises 3 employees and manages all aspects of the department in the Treasurer’s absence. Assists with special projects and other activities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management with working knowledge of accounting principles and practices, 2-4 years of progressively responsible finance and supervisory experience preferably in a government environment, or an Associate’s Degree in Finance/Accounting with at least 2 years accounting experience, proficient in MS office products, ability to interact professionally with elected officials, employees and the general public.
