Job Description : Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for developing the company’s computing strategy. This strategy includes cloud adoption plans, cloud application design as well as cloud management and monitoring. The foremost responsibility of the architect is to plan, design, and assist with all cloud environments. He must understand the concepts and provide expertise on infrastructure and build-and-release to development teams. Take responsibility for the IT environments throughout their lifecycles. Decide on the types of systems that the organization might need to carry out the business.
Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
Modifying and improving existing systems.
Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
Designing, developing, and deploying modular cloud-based systems.
Developing and maintaining cloud solutions by following best practices.
Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.
Experience
In automating at least one public cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
performing full-stack load testing to identify and address hardware, network, system, or application bottlenecks
Able to understand the security tools and best practices: CIS Benchmarking, OS hardening, vulnerability scanning, system auditing
Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline architecture (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
Research, recommend and implement controls for developing technology such as container orchestration, machine learning and serverless technologies.
Identifying security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend and deploy changes and enhancements
Demonstrable teamwork attitude, ready to initiate collaboration and resolve conflicts
Desired Candidate Profile
Knowledge of Operating System must have a good understanding of the operating systems such as Linux, Unix, Ubuntu, Windows.
Good understanding of Networking. Having proper knowledge of TCP/IP, IP addresses, HTTP, and DNS is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of firewalls and other security components is necessary.
Must have good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Experience with CI/CD systems
Hands-on experience designing, building, maintaining, and securing cloud, microservices, IaaS, and PaaS solutions for highly available business critical cloud-based systems
Azure, AWS, and GCP certifications preferred
