Job Description : We are seeking a Construction Controller/Bookkeeper to become an essential part of our growing team! We are an owner/developer of building facilities in and around New York City. This position will report directly to the Financial Controller and Chief Operating Officer in Lake Success and will work with a small team while managing cashflow, project job cost, and the overall daily construction project activity for two of our partnership companies.Responsibilities: Responsible for the processing of all A/R and A/P providing weekly reports for management.Monitor job cost for accuracy and compare to budget.Produce accurate and timely Monthly and Quarterly financial statements for two companies.Manage and comply with Sales tax reporting and sales tax filings for multiple states.Prepare GL account analysis and reconciliations with supporting documents.Update a daily cash flow for weekly management decisions on A/P payments.Assist Dispatcher and Operations Manager in special projects.Review vendor bills for accuracy against work orders.Submit service billing utilizing our clients system and record in our software systems.Qualifications: Must be a self starter.Seven years experience with construction accounting.Advanced QuickBooks and excel experience are essential.Experience with AIA (G-702 & G-703) applications for payment.Strong leadership qualities.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Deadline and detail-oriented.Work RemotelyNoJob Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayExperience:Construction: 7 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
