Job Description : Lead Product Manager – Content Manager
Job Summary – What will you contribute?
Finastra’s platform opens up our core systems in Retail Banking, Payments, Lending, Corporate Banking and Treasury & Capital Markets via open APIs. It enables financial institutions in innovation and in the fintech ecosystem.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management, the Lead Content Product Manager will oversee all types of contents to be published on the App Store and on the Developer Portal.
The business intent is to ensure that our users and visitors find relevant, update to date information that helps them discover, identify, and evaluate the solutions to address their business needs.
The type of content to be published will include marketing information, functional and technical documentation as well as videos, trainings and learning paths.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management, the Publications Manager will be responsible for the creation of documentation, training video and exercises that help producers and consumers to join the platform.
Your work will include the creation of learning path and documentation structure, the management of content writers to create the content and the coordination with Marketing and Engineering to create additional content. You will track and monitor the success of the published content, the feedback from users and stakeholders and manage the creation and improvement plans.
Responsibilities and deliverables
Your deliverables as a Content Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Discover visitors and user needs by gaining a deep understanding of their experience and of their pain points when discovering and using our platform
Collect and develop ideas, prioritize the ideas, create business cases
Identify content opportunities through market research, customer profiling, needs analysis, market sizing and competitive analysis.
Define the content strategy, and translate content strategy into roadmap
Own the content roadmap. Be able to communicate the business as well as technical rationale behind your product decisions, both internally and externally.
Recruit and manage the team of content writers
Manage activities of the content writers, and help them liaise with Marketing and Engineering
Contribute to Content writing and delivery, create, update and edit functional, technical, and user documentation, videos
Liaise with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Global Services and Support organizations to launch new content and training paths
Serves as the key contact for content questions and new content ideas which surface from customers, sales, or market research.
Identifies and analyzes critical issues related to the experience in understanding and using the product knowledge and available content
Identifies continuous improvement opportunities for platform processes
Ensure application of best practices for the learning content with the right mix of videos, written documents, workshops, exercises
Seek for feedback from the targeted audience and improve content according to feedback and goals
Required Skills & Experience
Excellent writing and communications skills
Proven track record of Senior Technical Writing and Content Management with demonstrated success in enabling the targeted audience to be upskilled for supporting the business needs
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a senior content writer or senior technical writer in a computer software company
Ability to extract information from very busy subject matter experts
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills needed.
3+ years of Financial Industry experience preferred
3+ years working with SaaS/Cloud financial services products preferred
Ability to work independently, apply judgment, maintain stable performance under stress and flexibility in an evolving work environment.
