Job Description : Great opportunity for a growing company in Northern Virginia. Currently seeking a Financial Controller to maintain accounting operations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and support the leadership team with financial controls, reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience in the construction industry, financial analysis capabilities and a desire to dig into the numbers. This person will report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:
Oversee month-end close process and timely completion
Oversee A/R and A/P functions
Manage cash flow and reporting
Make necessary GL entries
Reconcile bank statements
Manage fixed asset listing and run monthly depreciation
Record inventory transactions against projects
Process internal equipment charges
Prepare and submit local business license returns and renewals
Assemble monthly financial reporting package for review by CFO
Manage cost accounting within the system
Manage executive payroll
Certified payroll reporting
Oversee payroll time collection and reporting
Participate in monthly financial meetings
Works directly with CFO on annual audits including financial, 401k and insurance
Assist CFO with management of change order process
Ongoing variance analysis

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably accounting or finance)
CPA (required)
Cost accounting experience
Management experience (at least 2 years)
Compensation Range: $100000 – $130000 with bonus
