Position purpose: This hands-on position will manage all areas and aspects of the Finance and Accounting department for all entities of Casa de Fruta. Lead and direct the work of others within Finance and Accounting and Business Office.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
Prepare, coordinate and manage the operational aspects of monthly closings of the financial statements for all entities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Oversee and maintain, on a daily basis, all cash flow analysis for all entities.
Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.
Evaluate and implement accounting and internal control systems.
Responsible for multi-state tax compliance to include sales, excise, DtC, property, TOT, etc.
Accounting software and POS system integration management.
Organize and manage the COA and financial report writing.
Direct and manage A/P, A/R, C/R, P/R, Costing, and Inventory Control.
Ensure financial transactions and reports comply with GAAP.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting required, Master’s degree or CPA preferred; and five or more years related experience.
Special Position Requirements: Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with advanced data analysis skills, GP Dynamics/Business Central, or other accounting software. Report writing is essential. Experience with Aloha, Silverware, RMS, and/or Nexternal helpful.
Preferences: Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Have the ability to train employees on any new processes and procedures.
Work Requirements: N (Never), O (Occasionally up to 3 hrs per day), F (Frequently, 3 – 6 hrs per day), C (Constantly, 6 – 8+ hrs per day), based on 8-hour shift.
