They will also directly assist the Director of Finance in creating the financial statements, managing the accounting department, producing management reports, and in adhoc projects.Working with a diverse line of custom galley inserts for executive aircraft manufacturers, your important contribution in providing clearer visibility into our manufacturing costs will help us become more profitable. Your responses to the application questions are very important in our selection process.Education and Experience3-5 years in a manufacturing environment required2+ years cost accounting in manufacturing environmentBachelors degree in accounting, IT systems or financial analysis preferred2+ years as Controller, Accounting Manager or manager in a Cost Analysis roleExperienced retrieving data from system and crunching numbersExperience setting up and managing accounting and/or cost systemsGAAP knowledge helpfulMain Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesAccurately track, record, report, and perform review and analysis on work order costs inclusive of direct materials, direct labor, and factory overhead allocations. Utilize system to high extent for clear reporting and cost analytics.Work cross-functionally with other factory support and general and administrative departments including but not limited to Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Customer Support, to obtain a complete understanding of how the manufacturing process life cycle ultimately impacts costs.Support the monthly accounting G/L close process in close coordination with the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance.Respond to requests from management around costing and support internal and external audits.Cost analysis – analyze manufacturing cost – material, labor, and overhead.erform the monthly review, analysis, and reconciliation of inventory accounts including raw material, work in process, and finished goods inventory balances.Support and participate in cycle inventory counts in close coordination with the Warehouse staff. Perform required adjustments as a result of counts.Respond to management requests around raw material, work in process, and finished goods inventory balances, and support year-end and other external audits.Inventory accounting and control – Need to be an expert in accounting, reporting, and analyzing inventory. Aging analysis has to be performed monthly as well as slow-moving, obsolete inventory, and inventory reserves. Review with operations on inventory issues and follow up on actions.Physical inventory – prepare inventory plan and coordinate to perform physical inventory, analyze inventory results, and perform inventory adjustments.Perform account analysis for all inventory accounts and follow up on any issues.Assist the Director with Fixed Assets and G/L Accounting responsibilities, ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and other plant operational responsibilities.
