At Fairway Architectural Railing Solutions, we’ve been designing custom railings that create the perfect finishing touch on multifamily and commercial projects for over 30 years.Position Summary:Controller of Envision Outdoor Living Products (EOLP) is a newly created positions that is necessary to bridge the accounting support to the operations at EOLP’s facilities. To be successful the Controller should be able to work autonomously, have a service-oriented attitude, and able to promote change and a positive culture across the entire EOLP organization. This position is located at the Envision Building Products headquarters in Mount Joy, PA and reports to the VP Finance.SupervisoryResponsibilities: · The Controller will not have direct reports initially but will have oversight of the accounting, costing, and reporting requirements for the EOLP business. As the business grows, direct reports are likely to be added in the future.Other Duties: · Install an accounting system to facilitate the accounting process, properly value inventory, and account for production appropriately.· Install and maintain the cost accounting system for the EOLP business in D365.· Prepare and update the standard costs.· Audit and control the Bills of Materials, routings, and overhead applications used in production.· Prepare month-end journal entries as they relate to the manufacturing and distribution.· Validate and analyze the cost of goods sold monthly.· Maintain ledgers for the perpetual inventory; provide reconciliations and analysis as required.· Coordinate the annual physical and daily cycle count process.· Investigate count variances and resolve issues.· Maintain an adequate reserve for obsolescence and dispose of obsolete inventory within the Delegation of Authority.· Maintain fixed assets and maintain a controlled capital spending process.· Prepare PPV analysis and appropriate entries.· Prepare, journal, and analyze the valuation of commodities (lead) and maintain required reserves.· Provide reports on material usage, labor productivity and efficiency, and overhead use to assist manufacturing and distribution with improvements and cost containment.· Provide analysis on breakeven points by products, work centers, etc. as needed.· Provide reports and analysis on variances in spending, efficiencies, and productivity.· Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending and efficiency variances.· Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budget processes by providing necessary information as it relates to manufacturing, inventory, and warehousing.· Support operations by providing financial support and control that assists the site managers in cost control, efficiency enhancements, and overall business development.· Prepare KPI reports and provide support for improvements.· Serve as the financial support role for the Black Belt and Six Sigma efforts.· Support both internal and external audits as required.· Exhibit behaviors that foster a positive culture and a desire to achieve the Company’s core values.Required Qualifications:· Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an accounting related discipline; advanced degree preferred.· Five (5) plus years progressive experience in a manufacture accounting role; leadership experience preferred.· Experience in a manufacturing, selling, & distribution company preferred.· Must be an excellent communicator, be able to articulate ideas clearly, and be able to invoke change and a positive culture throughout the organization; must be able to resolve conflicts quickly and professionally.· Must be organized, efficient, and able to focus on the details.· Must be advanced in the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.· Must be promotable and capable of growing into a more advanced role as needed to support overall company expansion and growth.· Must be available to work in the office (this is not a remote position) and travel as necessary to the company’s sites as required.Job Type: Full-timePay: $63,611.00 – $147,382.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: One location
