Each month an employee wins an award for upholding the values – this a peer driven award.RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain the accounting system, producing a timely and accurate picture of the financial condition of the company.Conduct the month-end and year-end close process including recording accrual basis journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing financial statements, and analyzing variances.Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis.Manage the cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism.Develop budgets and forecasts to ensure the company’s strategic objectives are met.Implement best practices with an emphasis on continuous improvement. Streamline processes and create efficiencies within the accounting department including AP, AR, payroll and billing.Work with the Operations Manager and Production Manager to drive estimates and pricing as well as explain variances. · Review and oversee employee benefits including benefits analysis and 401(k) compliance.Complete special projects as requested.SKILLS & COMPENTENCIES * Evidence of being detail-oriented with a strong ability to think and communicate strategically.The ability to work alone, but not afraid to ask questions.Strong financial background with numerical proficiency.Evidence of problem solving and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.Ability to proficiently use various Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.Effective written and oral communications skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.A willingness to support the growth of the Company where needed.Personable and outgoing individual with strong communication skills.A self-starter who will continuously bring ideas to the table.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $110,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Portage, IN 46368: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:GAAP: 3 years (Preferred)Accounting: 10 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
