Job Description : Our client has an immediate need for an interim controller to oversee all financial accounting( month-end close, financial reporting, accounts payable, audit management, etc.) and manage a 10 person accounting staff. Beyond, maintaining current operations, the company would like for this resource to evaluate all their current processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvements. Other responsibilities include:Timely and accurate completion of the monthly, quarterly and year-end consolidated financial statements and close process.Establish and implement accounting and internal control policies and procedures for The Company, its subsidiaries, and multiple legal entities.Coordinate the annual audit and tax return preparation process with the Company’s outside accounting firms to ensure accurate and timely completion.Ensure that the Company’s financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Manages treasury function, including meeting short and long-term funding needs.Develop budget package(s) and coordinate and consolidate the annual budget.Forecast cash needs to ensure adequate liquidity.Ensure that all accounting and financial reports, tax returns, etc. are timely, credible, reliable and informative.Location/Work Arrangement: near BNA, hybrid work arrangementDuration: This is at least a 3 months temp with an excellent opportunity to go permanent.Requirements: At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with prior controller level responsibilitiesWell established experience driving process improvementBA in Accounting, CPA a plusAdvanced Excel (e.g. pivots, LOOKUPS, sum-ifs)Experience with GP Dynamics a plus,Job Types: Full-time, ContractSchedule:Monday to FridayApplication Question(s):Do you have at least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with prior controller level responsibilities?Are you local to Nashville or surrounding areas?Education:Bachelor’s (Required)Work Location: One location
