Job Description : LSWG is assisting our client, a well-established, employee centered, Mid-Atlantic company seeking a Controller for its headquarters in Frederick, MD. The position reports to the Company’s President.The Company has multiple locations, is in a business to business industry, has significant inventory and operates in multiple states. The Company uses a mid-range integrated accounting system.The ideal candidate will oversee and direct the financial activities of the company. This position entails both managerial direction and a significant amount of hands on accounting work.Responsibilities include, but not limited to, managing cash flow; generating financial reports; spearhead, create and manage annual budgets; analyze investment opportunities; review and oversee all 401K, ESOP, insurance and bank relationships; analyze operating ratios and make recommendations for improvement; complete numerous tax forms; and maintain depreciation schedule on Sage software.The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of accounting experience and possess a Bachelor’s degree. CPA is preferred, although not required. Benefits offered include medical/dental/vision, life insurance and short term disability coverage with reasonable employee cost sharing, FSA, 401K, paid holidays and vacation.Pre-employment drug screen required.
