Job Description : Position Summary: Plan, develop, and implement policies, procedures, practices and strategy for the accounting functions. Responsible for the successful completion of projects as well as projects of subordinates. Oversee AP, AR and general accounting, and is typically involved in strategies planning. Manage, either directly or through intermediate supervisors, the staff of the accounting Department.Authorities: · Has authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality system and to control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.· Manage HR Consultant.Duties and Responsibilities: · Establish and maintain network backup to meet requirements for quality records per the company’s FDA QS Regulation, ISO, MDD, CE Mark, and Canadian Medical Devices Regulations.· Establish and maintain the competence requirements for “human resource” per ISO FDA QS Regulation, ISO, MDD, CE Mark, and Canadian Medical Devices Regulations.· Support in meeting the company’s quality objectives and quality policy.Finance: · Establish the company financial and accounting policies.· Manage the functional areas of general accounting, cost accounting, payroll, fixed assets, financial analysis, and accounts payable and receivable.· Coordinate various financial systems including: Netsuite, budgeting and reporting, inventory management, audit compliance.· Develop and maintain financial reporting systems.· Demonstrate a commitment to the quality system, visibly and actively, on a continuing basis.Administration: · Establish the company accounting policies.· Establish and maintain an adequate structure to ensure that devices are produced in accordance with the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices.· Ensure that the technical, administrative, and human factor functions affecting the quality of the device will be controlled, whether these functions involve, hardware, software, processed materials or services. All such control should be oriented towards the reduction, elimination, or ideally, prevention of quality nonconformities.· Manage the functional areas of facilities, general administration, MIS, and human resources.· Set long term strategy, budgets, and priorities.· Recruit, hire, train, manage, and develop finance and administration staff members.· Participate in executive staff meetings and planning sessions. Develop and manage developmental budgets· Procure and oversee outside vendors and consultants as required.Position Requirements: · Excellent written and oral communication skills.· Solid communications, technology, analytical and management skills.· Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.· Proven leadership and interpersonal skills· Strong working knowledge of automated financial systems.· Through working knowledge of the medical device industry.Education Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business or life sciences or equivalent experienceExperience Requirements: · Minimum 7 to 10 years related experience in the medical device industry in addition to at least 5 years management experience.Special Requirements: · NONEPreferred Requirements: · NONENote: This job description is an outline of the major recurring responsibilities of the job/position.
