Job Description : Job Title: ControllerDepartment: FinanceReports to: Regional VP of Finance – New EnglandLocation: Greater Merrimack Valley, MA AreaOverview / Public HeaderSeeking a Controller to join the Finance Department at Beacon Mobility to oversee the financial plans, policies, and accounting practices of the business for the New England region. This position will help grow and mentor the accounting team, produce accurate and timely financial reports, implement and maintain internal control policies, and ensuring financial results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Ideal candidates should be highly motivated and have public accounting and industry experience. CPA is a plus but not required.Job Responsibilities· Oversee the general ledger and related accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions and compliance with corporate policies.· Perform general accounting procedures, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger account balancing, and journal entries.· Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closings, including year-end audits.· Preparation of internal and external consolidated financial statements.· Implement, maintain, and strengthen control environment across all entities.· Lead and support ad hoc special projects as required.Required Education and Experience· Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a general willingness to tackle projects that may be outside of candidate’s comfort zone· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university· Minimum of 5+ years in a comparable accounting role inside a medium or large organization· Software Skillso Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skillso Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPointo Ability to manage large datasets· Working knowledge of financial statements and U.S. GAAP.Standout Qualifications· Certified Public Accountant or public accounting experience· Transportation industry experience· MBA or other relevant advanced degree· Familiarity with NetSuite· Knowledge of Corporate income taxes for federal and multi-state· Knowledge of fixed asset accounting between U.S. GAAP and tax regulations· Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions accountingJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: Multiple Locations
