Job Description : Premier Staffing Source, Inc. is seeking a Controller for a full-time position in Lanham, MD.The successful candidate must have solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills. Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Must have at least seven years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued.Job Duties: Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functionsProcessing payroll and ensuring compliance with all state, federal and local lawsManaging the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business resultsCoordinating and preparing internal and external financial statementsCoordinating activities of external auditorsProviding management with information vital to the decision-making processManaging the budget processAssessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processesEvaluating accounting and internal control systemsEvaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as neededDeveloping and monitoring business performance metricsOverseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and complianceHiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staffEOEJob Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 – $105,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Accounting: 7 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
