This role will be based in Houston, TX. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to come into the office on occasion.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for managing all company financial transactions
Preparing annual financial/quarterly reports
Helping to outline detailed financial budget
Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis
Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective business operation
Identify and implement best practices as it relates to systems, processes, and procedures
Deep knowledge of and proficiency with current accounting rules, compliance, and technical accounting; and always strives for the adoption of best practices
Results-oriented, with a track record of scaling, leading, and driving improvements
Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems for financial controls and performance
Requirements
Certified Public Account (CPA), highly preferred
Bachelors in accounting, business, management or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work in a collaborative (remote for the moment) environment
Proven ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
