Job Description : Professional Search Group (PSG) is actively seeking an experienced Controller to join a small family run construction company located in Fullerton, CA. The company is well-established, having been in business for more than 45 years, and is now seeking to refill this critical role that will be left vacant after their current Controller retires. Professional Search Group is looking for a loyal and driven candidate that can more than adequately fill these shoes.As the Controller, you can expect to oversee financial activities and personnel as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. You will be expected to possess good written and oral communication skills and have working knowledge of MS Office Suite and, ideally, ComputerEase construction firm software.Controller Responsibilities: Produce work in-progress schedulesOversee and coordinate all financial activities and personnelSet controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investmentsStandardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniquesConduct internal audits to assess financial statusEnsure compliance with federal and state regulationsServe as primary contact for external auditorsController Qualifications: 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industryExperience producing work in-progress schedulesExperience using ComputerEase, or other construction based ERP software, preferredFundamental knowledge of GAAPStrong leadership qualitiesStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsDeadline and detail-orientedApply for this great opportunity today!!Jackie LoveTalent Sourcer562-378-0035Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per yearBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: One location
