Job Description : Controller/Office ManagerEmployment Type: Full TimeWe are looking for a Controller to lead in the day-to-day activities of this small, family-owned real estate investments company with a large portfolio. This person helps keep the office running at maximum efficiency and is the point of contact for accounting internally as well as externally.We are a residential rental housing company dedicated to providing an exceptional rental experience for every resident. The company was founded 40+ years ago and continues to grow. By providing a comfortable living experience, our tenants tend to rent for longer periods of time.Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting functions (A/R and A/P, and General Accounting). Monthly reporting of financial statements and rent delinquencies.Communicate with payroll and benefits companies.Provide support for administrative and operational personnel.Reporting to outside governmental agencies.Providing financial documentation as required to outside financial institutions.Support to Owner of company and Operations Supervisor.Qualifications: Management skillsComfortable in a high growth environmentExperience in a busy office settingProven ability to manage essential accounting and full charge bookkeeping tasks and reportingAbility to execute key initiatives and requirements in an efficient mannerStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in property management accountingPreferred Requirements: Bachelor’s DegreeMinimum 10 years experience in accountingAppfolio experience.Job Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 – $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Physical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:La Verne, CA 91750: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:Accounting: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
