Job Description : The Accountant/Controller is a critical member of the administrative staff.It is a position that combines all aspects of AR, AP, collections, full P&L, Balance Sheet and general ledger.Candidates must possess direct experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and strong written and verbal communication skills are required. The position reports directly to the General Manager.General obligationsCreates financial transactions, including posting information to computerized accounting journals from source documents such as member invoices, cash receipts and supplier invoices.Accurately record vendor invoices, reconcile transactions to statements, and maintain accurate records of inventory purchases.Process, write and issue all invoices and check requests for payments on accounts.Assures the audit of the daily transactions of all point of sale (POS) outlets is completed in a timely and accurate manner.Responsible for recognizing errors in posted transactions and coordinate the completion of the cash over & short processing and reports.Assists in Accounts Payable processing and member billing in account reconciliations.Assures that after departure charges are posted and credit card disputes, errors and corrections are completed.Submit monthly sales tax.Prepare monthly financial statements.Education and/or ExperienceAccounting required.
